Investigating and Prosecuting Human Sex Trade and Labor Trafficking Cases

Human Trafficking is one of the fastest growing crimes in the United States. Over the past several years, jurisdictions nationwide have been pursuing strategies to hold traffickers accountable for their crimes, while seeking to rescue, empower and restore their victims.  More and more states have passed criminal prohibitions against human trafficking. This course is designed for the prosecution team, criminal justice professionals, judges, law enforcement, victim advocates, victim service professionals, probation and parole officers and community stakeholders. Attendees will obtain keen insight on the impact of this violence on victims and their children, successful strategies for identifying these victims, as well as key principles to facilitate interviewing of these vulnerable victims and witnesses. Our multi-disciplinary team of speakers will provide valuable information and cutting edge strategies to utilize in successfully serving victims, investigating and prosecuting these challenging cases and overcoming obstacles in this emerging area of criminal law.

Course Information

CLE: Anticipated CLE credits will be 15 hours including 1 hour of ethics. NDAA will apply for CLE credit in Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, and Ohio.  All other states ​will ​require ​the ​attorney ​to ​self-submit ​using ​their ​uniform ​certificate provided at the conclusion of the course. Eligibility: Open to lawyers in local, state, tribal, federal and military government attorneys’ offices, paralegals who work in these offices, investigators and law enforcement officers who work in prosecutors’ offices or with the local law enforcement agency.

Registration fees are non-refundable. However, if you need to cancel your registration, the fees paid may be credited toward any other NDAA training within twelve months from the date of the original cancellation.
